Joyce Jackson
Joyce Jackson was born and raised in Nashville and became a Bahá’í there in 1973. She has long been fascinated with the stories of the early Bahá’ís and how they forged an integrated community in spite of the social mores of the time that dictated a life of segregation between the races. It is a story that she believes is important for everyone to hear.
Joyce is a writer by avocation and has worked in the publishing field. In the last 15 years she has been in full-time service to the Bahá’í Faith, both in living and serving in Uganda, and for the last 10 years serving at the United States Bahá’í National Center. She currently lives outside Nashville with her two beloved greyhounds, Thea and Rush. Joyce has also written A Child of Tender Years: Hayden’s Journey and Agnes & Angella: A Tale of Two Cows in Uganda.
