The story of the development of the Bahá’í community in Nashville, Tennessee from its earliest days. It is told in the context of a Southern city during the Jim Crow era, and how both Black and White individuals came together to form an integrated religious community despite the laws mandating segregation of the races. The story includes Bahá’í luminaries such as Louis G. Gregory, who received his undergraduate degree from Fisk University, and returned to Nashville time and again to share the principles of the Bahá’í Faith.
